Who are you listening to?

The question above came from my Spiritual Father and mentor last month.

He was explaining why we have so many issues facing us today and attributed the problem to Knowledge. Yes Knowledge.

To explain better from the view of my family, Adam and Eve ate the fruit and indeed received knowledge. It is only after eating this fruit did they realize that they were naked. Before then; they were at peace. No knowledge on nudity. Soon after eating the fruit they heard God walking about and went and heed. God calls out to Adam.Asking where he is and his response is interesting.

He responded by saying he was hiding in the tress because he was naked. And God asks him the question. “Who told you, you’re naked?”

Another way as my Spiritual Father and Mentor brought out, “Who told you, you’re poor?” “Who told you, you are sick?” “Who told you, you’re not getting married?” “Who told you, you’re business idea cannot work?”

Really who told you?

And most important, why did or do you listen to that voice?

The voice that speaks over your life, is the voice that determines your destiny.

I think it would be wise to take time out of your life and ask and answer those questions. Especially if you are following a voice over your life that has no success to it, is not making progress in any area let alone the one you are perusing.

What type of knowledge are you letting into your life? Your heart, your family, your career, your children, your work or business, your mind and your environment. Is it moving you forward impacting lives, changing history or remaining stagnant with a bad attitude to boot.

Who are you listening to and why?

My Words for 2017

As we crossed over into 2017, I was wondering what will make this year my most significant year?
What can I do this year that will for sure make it so different, have more impact, not just achieve my goals but crash them in terms of the return, the effect on others.

And these four words come to me:
1. Focus
2. Consistency
3. Commitment
4. Character

When I got these words I was like -okay no big deal, so what? but after some time and thought I have come to love and appreciate these words. I am committed to studying them and learning from them and really applying them every day to what I have decided to do.

In the month of January we went through the word Focus, we are now at the area of Vision. Do you have a vision for 2017? have you seen what you are going to achieve this 2017? are you replaying it in your mind every day? Twice a day?

I see my self everyday equipping leaders and professionals, by training, coaching and mentoring. I see myself on the stage talking and sharing and learning from others. I see myself travelling around the country, continents doing the same thing. I see myself and my children enjoying time together having fun, reading, sight seeing, visiting museums and amusement parks. I see myself meeting new leaders from all over the world, who are excited and are sharing their nuggets of wisdom with me. I can go on and on.

What do you see for yourself in 2017?

What does focus bring?

In the month of January I was getting my focus in check. I have been making sure that; that which I want to achieve this year is in clear view and sight.

I’m also making sure that I put on some blinders, because there are many shinny things that can and will come around, that can make me loose focus. It takes just a minute and look elsewhere and loose focus and sink!

Trust me, ask Peter! One minute he was walking on the water and in the next he began to sink. Well he lost focus and faith.

Where does the faith come in? how does it relate with focus? I think faith plays a big part as it helps us focus on our vision.

For the last few weeks I have been asking the question what is your focus? or where are you focusing on this year?

I believe it has been a bit challenging to a few people to answer the question especially if they do not have a VISION.

Focus brings clarity to your Vision!

Do you have a VISION?

What is your 2017 vision? and are you focusing on it?

Making choices

It’s funny how many times in a day we get to make choices.

Today I was reading how the first two people on the earth made a choice
They chose to give up the pleasure of God’s company for their own interests.
Eve saw that the fruit was good,  pleasing to the eye and she desired wisdom – I guess that was a good reason, to decide to eat the fruit.

Desiring Wisdom
However the consequences of that choice are still in effect till today.

Both Adam and Eve are still trying to teach us to be very clear on the decisions we make.

On what or who, we place value on and the consequences it will have on our families for generations to come.   As I look forward to the months to come on this journey, I must remember that my choices will lead to actions that will indeed lead to results. Hopefully good results!

Some of the choices that I have decided to make in 2015

An attitude of gratitude: Being grateful, for everything that I am able to do small things like read many people can’t read or write. Am grateful that I have my children. Am grateful to my parents and siblings for really being there for me through thick and thin. Am grateful for each day. Am truly want to maintain my attitude of gratitude.

Being Bold: I have decided to be Bold. Both bold and courageous. I think somewhere along my life journey I started doubting my abilities. Maybe someone said something or I did not get a result or outcome that I wanted. And this affected my being bold and courageous. Watch out 2015 am back Bold and Courageous!

Enjoying the journey: The journey to the earning a 6 figure dollar income has its up’s and downs. I must admit that before it was hard to enjoy the lows no one likes being down. But one thing I have come to appreciate is that the lows are lessons. And as I share these lessons with others we all win – and we win big time.

These are my top three choices 🙂

I have also decided to keep fit and lose a few pounds! I want to make sure that I’m healthy and if I look good in the process so be It.

So as we start off a new week I challenge you to make a few good choices, do not be deceived like Eve – all that glitters is not gold.

You never know, some of your choices will lead to decisions that will create your legacy.

Do you ever wonder about your belief in something? Anything?
Do you review your life and get amazed about what you managed to achieve just because you believed you could do it?

I remember when I got my first pregnancy.  I was 100% sure I was going to have a baby girl.  I was so sure that I only shopped for baby girl clothing to the bewilderment of my mother.
She begged me to get at least a few unisex items.
I had gone for 3 scans and each time the baby made sure we could not figure out what I was going to have.
Guess what my baby was???
Baby girl.  🙂

Later I decided I was going to have a boy. This time I went a step further and got a name and started talking about him. Everyone thought I was crazy. And lo and behold.  I got my son.

Those two incidents made me believe in the power of a certain mind.

Sometimes though it’s not that easy.
2014 has made me question my belief.  Especially in myself.

Where is my 100% belief? I have believed in so many things to happen.  None of them have happened.

If anything my results are just the opposite.
And the more I push myself to believe in my desired outcome the worse off results I get.

It’s truly disheartening.
Am set out to figure this  out, because it’s hurting my business,  myself confidence and my faith.

What the Heck!

Have you ever had a moment in your life that you knew for sure that the world was out to get you?

Or that sick feeling when everything you touch turns to disaster and your “universe” at the time is just crap, and everyone else is having a blast.
Success everywhere, but where you are.
This has been one of those weeks.
Am not sure if its my mindset.  Am not sure if it’s the vibe coming from me or it’s just life.
Why am I not getting great results. Am putting in so much of my time and energy. The results are not encouraging at all.
What’s going on? ????
And as I go through an adult tantrum with my creator I decide to take a break.

This used to be fun. Now it’s not fun any more. Why is that.
I used to be so excited but now I have no excitement.  I just want results.
I thought this was what I wanted.  Now am not sure.

And the journey continues…………

Enjoying living- now

Am still at home – it’s around 10 am.

The kids have closed school. One of them is busy getting her university applications done for next year and the other well is with me – doing some math, calculation of areas to be specific.

We – the kids and I have a deal, in the morning they get to do something read a book, do some math, write a story something, and in the afternoon they get to go out and play – have fun with the dog, swing, swim anything with some activity – climb the trees, build something – and later much later play the Wii- and you can guess all games are all sports and activities no seating down games!

For this am truly grateful, to be able to spend time with my kids and my family.

Not many people get to do this. I have been able to do this due to something that looked to be a disaster but has turned out to be the best blessing ever.

Losing my job and part of my company has made it possible for me to now have this time – time to spend with my children and to appreciate this six figure income journey that I am so determined to achieve.

This made me realize; sometimes we wait for something to happen before we do what we said we would do, but if you think about it we are all living part of our dreams right now -if we are present.

I woke up this morning around 6 am, chattered with my daughter who had to get going to finish up her application, then did my one hour of aerobics, after a while took my breakfast and started my homeschooling time with my son.
When done, am off to conquer the world, I have my appointments set.

After achieving my goals for the day, I can take in some time in the late afternoon, to spend some quiet time with myself and review my day, then join the kids for some family movie or game before dinner, read and get to bed.

I may not have the six figure income yet, but am surely enjoying the lifestyle at the moment.

So I would encourage us all to enjoy this life now- the season you’re in.

It might not be where you want to be or what you thought you wanted for yourself but it comes with such blessing!

Here’s to enjoying your life – your wife, your husband, your children, your family, your job ( yap take time to appreciate that you have one! ) your business, your friends,- Your Life!

The Decision

Just come from a presentation. Am up beat. I think it’s wise to sleep on it and decide tomorrow.

Why? Well i really want to do my due diligence of course but most importantly where will I get the money to start.

If this had come at the beginning of the year, I would have come back from the presentation already joined and “ahead”.

As I drift off to sleep,  my mind starts to ask a tonne of questions. …. will this time be like last time?? What if I don’t get my fast start money back in 4 weeks? Cause I can borrow the money and pay it back in 4 weeks with my fast start.
Why is the opportunity coming now?? Why not when I had the money. …. what will my family and friends say this time?
Ohhh but what if this is it? What if am home? Imagine if i actually make the fast start?

Wow.  Imagine if i actually climb levels before the year ends…….
As I drift off to sleep,  I drift off with my imagination running all the images of the kids and me laughing and having a good time at the beach.

The next few days am getting all the information and am all in. This is it.

My journey to a 6 figure income has started.
